On Showing Up
Mostly Organized Dispatch
I’m the worst!
I have a tendency to do or create things and never talk about them, or make them so small they’re basically a footnote in my newsletter and in my life.
Like, did you know I was a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics or that I was on TV just recently?
I have this tug-of-war inside me. One part wants to be seen for the work I do and to be deeply understood, and the other part is overwhelmed by the fear of being visible and vulnerable, and ultimately rejected!
THIS ☝🏻 often keeps me from posting on social media, showing my face, or making my voice heard.
I know I’m not the only one stuck in that loop.
So in the spirit of showing up, here are 3 things I’ve worked on recently.

📚 Used Franco Book Sale
Two book-loving ladies decide to organize a community book sale. Will people show up? Will we have enough books? It’s like a mini reality TV in my head! Anyway, we’re collecting books at the moment if you’re in Edmonton. The sale happens October 4th.
💌 Newsletter Archives
I haven’t written a blog post since September 2025! But it occurred to me that I have been writing—a lot—for this newsletter. And I figure the more people can find advice on how to declutter and get organized, the better. Introducing Mostly Organized Dispatch Archives!
So now, when people clickety clack their queries on their keyboards, they might find something I wrote in the last year, and I have something to refer back to on themes I’ve talked about in the past. I’ll keep adding to it by digging in my past newsletters.
📋 Virtual Organizing Article
Speaking of blog posts! As a member of Professional Organizers in Canada, I’m part of a community group for Virtual Organizers, and last month we collaborated on a blog post about the questions we're asked most often.
That’s it for today.
Until next time,
