HOT TAKE: The organization business is a bit of a scam!

Wait! What?

Let me explain!

Being organized is not a scam, but capitalism has made it another thing to agonize over, compare ourselves to, and spend our money on, and that’s certainly NOT why I decided to become a Professional Organizer!

See, I absolutely believe that being organized can be transformative, and it has nothing to do with the number of items you own, a particular aesthetic, or the type of containers you use.

But if you spend any time online, you might have been convinced that if your pantry doesn’t look a certain way, you have failed.

And I’m here to challenge this assumption!

I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while, and it seems that I’m not the only one. Rather than trying to find the right words, I'll share a couple of videos and an article that have resonated with me lately.

I hope you find some value and, in the future, are able to separate your progress and the work we might do together from what marketing and social media have been feeding you.

That’s it for me this week!

Until next time,

Caroline
