Mostly Organized Dispatch

Do you love travel content?

Because this is what this week’s newsletter is all about.

Honestly, I like the gizmos and the gadgets, the mini versions of things that don’t take up space in your luggage, and I could watch people pack for a trip all day long.

I’m not sure what that’s about, but I love all the hacks and tips.

It took me years of practice to start packing light, and I’ve made many mistakes in the process. But I’m so glad I get to travel this way and enjoy more stress-free trips.

🤞🏼Cross your fingers and toes for me that my upcoming trip to Denmark goes well. I’ll tell you all about it when I’m back. In the meantime, see more travel tips below.

Until next time,

Caroline

Tips From A Pro Organizer

🔆 TIP | Decluttering Tip From A Professional Organizer: Travel Light

Travelling is fun, but not the most relaxing experience. Planes and airports are crowded, people are impatient, luggage gets lost or delayed all the time, and connecting flights don’t always work out. Not to mention the jet fuel shortage looming over this season!

These days, I’d rather “suffer“ having fewer clothes in my little carry-on and more freedom. If you’re curious how I do it, read Master the Art of Travelling with Just a Carry-On.

I also like to “fake pack“ a week before my trip. I find that it helps me not throw stuff willy-nilly in my suitcase at the last minute.

📌 HABIT | Small Habit To Help You Get Organized: Start With A Packing List

The first few times I travelled to Europe in my 20’s, I did what probably most people do: I borrowed a “giant” backpack, one that was way too big for my 5’1” frame, and filled it with all the things I thought I would need for a successful trip.

As a result, I was a very uncomfortable traveller and even injured my lower back, making the rest of the trip somewhat painful.

So a few years back, I simply decided it was worth trying to bring fewer things, and to travel with a carry-on only when possible. This is the packing list I use.

🧩 MINDSET | Clear Your Mind And Get a New Perspective: Don’t Forget The Essentials

While I plan to be strategic with my packing, I also count on these essentials to help me find some comfort and not dread the flight too much.

👉🏼 I’m always interested in what other people do, so if you have things you can’t travel without, I’d love to know what they are.
