2 Wonderful Resources To Make Your Life Better!
Mostly Organized Dispatch
Hello Friend,
If you’re anything like me, your head is probably spinning from the news cycle sometimes, and you’re going about your life with a heavy heart, on top of wanting to just stay under a blanket!
Sending my silly little newsletter and talking about the privilege of decluttering and organizing feels pointless sometimes. But in the hopes that it helps just one person, even just to get a bit of distraction, I’ll keep going.
And I have two amazing offers for you today:
🧘🏻♀️ FIRST: Ways to Reconnect with your Heart
My friend Eric McCarthy, PhD, is offering fantastic resources to slow down and reconnect with yourself. Based on scientific evidence and her career as a Philosophy Professor, Eric shares practical mindfulness tools that are sure to help you feel more like yourself.
🧩 SECOND: Small Tweaks - Big Impacts
Each January, MuchelleB presents a series of short videos that are super helpful in kicking off the new year. Her latest one is all about the small tweaks we can make to our environment to make it more likely we actually practice our habits.
I’m OBSESSED with habits right now, and how small changes can make a big difference, so this video came at just the right time. All her videos are highly encouraging and helpful.
Check the Habit Tip below for specific questions that MuchelleB suggests you ask yourself to help you identify those small changes.
Until next time,
Caroline

Tips From A Pro Organizer
🔆 TIP | Decluttering Tip From A Professional Organizer: The easiest thing you can declutter
Garbage! You read that right!
Sometimes, when a space is overwhelming, I ask clients to do a quick scan and identify the trash—things that they know need to go in the recycling or directly in the trash.
It could be boxes from a recent delivery that have lingered, or the pile of unsorted junk mail.
It gives you a quick win and immediately clears some space.
📌 HABIT | Small Habit To Help You Get Organized: Why am I not doing this already?
In her video (at the 3:12 mark), MuchelleB mentions 3 questions to ask yourself to uncover resistance to your goals and habits.
Here they are:
Why am I not doing this already?
What’s hard about this?
How can I design my environment to make this easy?
Such simple questions, but so effective!
🧩 MINDSET | Clear Your Mind And Get a New Perspective: You are more likely to do something you enjoy
I know, shocking, right?!?
We all have things we don't enjoy, but still have to do.
If it’s safe and possible, tag an enjoyable activity at the same time … the only multitasking I’ll ever encourage!
Folding clothes + a TV show
Cleaning + an audiobook
Working + some soothing music
I’ve talked about this multiple times, but it has changed my life over the last year, so I’m still talking about it (and that's why I was able to “read” so many books last year). Audiobooks for the win!
